Scott is a well seasoned entertainer. He
has worked proffesionally with some of the biggest names in the
business. Names like -Ray Charles, Aaron Neville, The Temptations, The Four Tops,
Various members of "The Tonight Show Band", Gary U.S. Bonds,
"Kool & The Gang" The list goes on and could easily fill this page.
He has performed as lead trumpet player at "The North Sea Jazz Festival"
at the Hague Netherlands. He has performed as lead trumpet player at "
The Montreaux Jazz Festival" in Montreaux Switzerland. Scott is originally from
Valdosta, Ga. After becoming an all state trumpet player he gave several auditions
and was offered several full scholarships to major universities. He chose the the
one that was offered in his hometown. Valdosta State University.
The reasons
for this choice were obvious. He would have the opportunity to study with Dr.
Kenneth Kirk and Mr. Bob Greenhaw. Dr. Kirk is the former principal trumpet player
for the Vienna Philharmonic, one of the most respected orchestras in the world.
Scott studied Jazz under the direction of Bob Greenhaw. Bob Greenhaw was the
then co-chairman of the "International Association of Jazz
Educators", more popularly known as I.A.J.E. After finishing school Scott
moved to Virginia Beach, Va. to travel full time with "The Rhondells"
after a few years of this he decided it was time to create his own band.
Scott
returned home and convinced a few investors that he could create and maintain aprofitable
entertainment organization that was located centrally in the Southeastern U.S. . "The
Fabulous Classics" were born. That was about 12 years ago and The band has
performed over a thousand jobs since with rave reviews following each one.
